'Choke Me' Vase
This piece is a beautiful representation of love and hate. I first created this piece as a perfect, slender necked vase, much like the “white vase” I currently have for sale as well. With careful consideration, I altered the piece by ‘choking’ the neck, to leave only a small hole. big enough for propagation or a little bouquet. This piece features an explosion of color right at the neck with a pure white finish everywhere else; highlighting what has happened to the piece and making her even more beautiful. I wanted it to show how strong and beautiful she is, even after everything she’s been through.
This piece holds a special place in my heart and is perfect for smaller bouquets or your favorite plants to grow! She is wheel-thrown, hand blended porcelain clay; glazed and fired by the artist; standing at eight and a half inches tall, five and a half inches wide, and weighing nine pounds.
